The data is then uploaded to a central server, where it's compared to optimal driving profiles to rate the user's driving on a scale from one to five. The app also gives the user an overall score that rates how environmentally friendly their driving is.
The eco-driving application monitors the car's speed, it's just an approximate measure of fuel consumption. But the data is still good enough to give users a general idea of how their driving stacks up, he said.

Adobe announced that it's Flash Player 10.1 will be available by the end of this year or by start of 2010, and it will be available on BlackBerry, WinMo, Palm WebOS, Google Android, and Symbian phones. Millions of iPhone users are disappointed by Apple decission that it will not be adapting Flash Player 10.1 for it's phones.
Reasons:
1. Apple is betting on different standards
Although Adobe Flash powers most of the Web applications for computers, Apple has set its eyes on HTML 5 with the introduction of the iPhone 3.0. HTML 5 makes plug-in-based technologies such as Adobe Flash and Microsoft Silverlight, because it has similar multimedia capabilities to Adobe's and Microsoft's solutions.
Apple is involved in the development of the HTML 5, and the technology is already being implemented into browsers before the standard is final. The editors of the HTML 5 standard are David Hyatt of Apple and Ian Hickinson of Google. As a side note, Flash is not supported on standard Google Android installations, but only custom ones, such as on the HTC Hero.
Apple could change its mind at any time regarding Adobe Flash support. As far as no one knows, Apple might be working on a solution right now, but as usual, the Cupertino Company is keeping mum on details.
2. iPhone is created so it won't support Flash
The limitations imposed by the iPhone software, as in only one application open at all times, means that an environment like Adobe Flash won't be able to install or launch other executable code by any means, including the use of a plug-in architecture (iPhone SDK EULA clause 3.3.2).
This translates that the ways Adobe Flash or Microsoft Silverlight were designed to work are forbidden from running on the iPhone unless Apple decides to make an exception. In relation, this means that third-party browsers such as Firefox or Opera won't be able to use Safari's built-in Java engine either.
3. Apple does not want Flash on iPhone
When Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayan said a few months back that Adobe Flash on the iPhone is a hard technical challenge people thought that the iPhone's hardware wasn't powerful enough to support this technology.
Later iPhone 3GS doubled the processing power and RAM memory but still no Adobe Flash on iPhone. Meantime, HTC managed to support fully Adobe Flash on HTC Hero, so Apple is running out of reasons to dismiss Flash.

Sony's pocket-sized PSP Go is finally out in the UK this week, with SCE ditching the unpopular UMD disc format in preference of digital downloaded games from its online store.
And while Sony has come under fire for not making the entire PSP back catalogue available to PSP Go gamers, the new machine is certainly a looker and has the huge advantage over its bigger, older brethren in the PSP family in that it pretty much fits in most pockets.
And yet while some traditional retailers bemoan the fact that they cannot make money from downloads and that small (yet vocal) hardcore PSP gaming community mocks the fact that their favourite games are still only available on physical discs, Sony is sure to make a splash in the run-up to the busy Christmas gift-buying season with the new PSP Go.
Sony's Claire Backhouse, Product Manager for PSP in the UK is quick to point out the differences between the new PSP Go and PS3 Slim, telling GamesIndustry.biz: "The Slim is actually taking over from the old PS3, whereas with PSP Go we're not taking over from the PSP 3000, it's very much a console that's going to sit alongside the PSP 3000."

Both Microsoft and Apple just recently launched there latest and upgraded versions of Media players but now people are confused which one to buy so i am writing this post to tell you which one is good in what?
First come to the appearance of Zune HD. Zune HD got aluminum back and is a slim gadget which makes it hot as well as it's screen size is 3.3 inch with 480 x 272 px of resolution. It also have multi touch screen with built in accelerometer. It's a pocket friendly Media Player with LED Glass covered display. It weighs about 74 grams.
On the other hand Apple iPod Touch 3G version is also slim but the negative point which makes it less sexy than Zune is that it's back gets finger print scratches. It's screen size is 3.5 inch which makes it better to display than Zune HD also it's resolutions are 480 x 320 px which again makes a point again Zune HD. Like Zune it also have multi touch screen with accelerometer, sleep/wakeup button, volume rocker button and Home button. It weighs about 115 grams which is a negative point against Zune and it seems to be heavy like iPhone 2g.
Now the Second thing to check is navigation, and simplicity to explore different apps. Zune HD has a Media Touch Screen button on it's right which when pressed opens the music player short keys. It is less user interactive in compared to iPod Touch because you have you slide every app on the home screen.
Apple iPod Touch have a large screen that make it better to navigate. Apps are easy to explore because they can be set on home screen. iPod have volume control button on it's side and another volume control button on the handsfree.
Microsoft Zune HD has high quality sound and built in Radio. You can watch and listen to Radio on TV with an additional add on. Microsoft Zune does not have any app and offical tell it won't have any later neither it has an app store like iPod's.
In compare with Zune HD iPod Touch does not have much good sound quality and also does not have Radio Tuner installed in it. (I don't know if there is any app regarding that.) But the thing that make it more superior is the iTunes from where you can download any app for your iPod and also download music from App store.
Zune HD comes just only in two options for memory 16GB and 32GB flash memory, it also supports Wi-Fi and has a CPU of Nvida Tegra APX with two ARM 11 Processors and 6 other cores for other tasks like video, audio etc. It too have built in rechargable lithium battery with up to 33 hours of audio playback and 8.5 hours of video playback.
iPod Touch comes in 3 options for flash memory 8GB, 32GB and 64GB flash memory. It also have Wi-Fi and CPU of 600 MHz. It also comes with PowerVR SGX GPU. It also have built in rechargable and non removable lithium battery with up to 6 hours of video playback and 32 hours of audio playback.
At the end the results are in favour of iPod Touch 3g because the company has made a place for camera but haven't installed it yet. It can be installed by hacking the iPod Touch. iPod Touch provides the ultimate features that no other media player provides and most of all it is a pocket pc.
