Both Microsoft and Apple just recently launched there latest and upgraded versions of Media players but now people are confused which one to buy so i am writing this post to tell you which one is good in what?
First come to the appearance of Zune HD. Zune HD got aluminum back and is a slim gadget which makes it hot as well as it's screen size is 3.3 inch with 480 x 272 px of resolution. It also have multi touch screen with built in accelerometer. It's a pocket friendly Media Player with LED Glass covered display. It weighs about 74 grams.
On the other hand Apple iPod Touch 3G version is also slim but the negative point which makes it less sexy than Zune is that it's back gets finger print scratches. It's screen size is 3.5 inch which makes it better to display than Zune HD also it's resolutions are 480 x 320 px which again makes a point again Zune HD. Like Zune it also have multi touch screen with accelerometer, sleep/wakeup button, volume rocker button and Home button. It weighs about 115 grams which is a negative point against Zune and it seems to be heavy like iPhone 2g.
Now the Second thing to check is navigation, and simplicity to explore different apps. Zune HD has a Media Touch Screen button on it's right which when pressed opens the music player short keys. It is less user interactive in compared to iPod Touch because you have you slide every app on the home screen.
Apple iPod Touch have a large screen that make it better to navigate. Apps are easy to explore because they can be set on home screen. iPod have volume control button on it's side and another volume control button on the handsfree.
Microsoft Zune HD has high quality sound and built in Radio. You can watch and listen to Radio on TV with an additional add on. Microsoft Zune does not have any app and offical tell it won't have any later neither it has an app store like iPod's.
In compare with Zune HD iPod Touch does not have much good sound quality and also does not have Radio Tuner installed in it. (I don't know if there is any app regarding that.) But the thing that make it more superior is the iTunes from where you can download any app for your iPod and also download music from App store.
Zune HD comes just only in two options for memory 16GB and 32GB flash memory, it also supports Wi-Fi and has a CPU of Nvida Tegra APX with two ARM 11 Processors and 6 other cores for other tasks like video, audio etc. It too have built in rechargable lithium battery with up to 33 hours of audio playback and 8.5 hours of video playback.
iPod Touch comes in 3 options for flash memory 8GB, 32GB and 64GB flash memory. It also have Wi-Fi and CPU of 600 MHz. It also comes with PowerVR SGX GPU. It also have built in rechargable and non removable lithium battery with up to 6 hours of video playback and 32 hours of audio playback.
At the end the results are in favour of iPod Touch 3g because the company has made a place for camera but haven't installed it yet. It can be installed by hacking the iPod Touch. iPod Touch provides the ultimate features that no other media player provides and most of all it is a pocket pc.

The Zune HD doesn't even really excel at media playback in the first place. A Sansa Clip has more playback features than a Zune HD.The Zune HD is just a poor attempt at a media player. so i wanna go with Apple I-touch.
